What is this course about?

Have you always wanted to learn name painting? Well... your prayers have been answered! This is probably the ONLY course anywhere - that will teach you how to do name painting, where to buy the materials, and how to create your OWN brushes.  

What am I getting?

- I tell you where to buy the art supplies, and the "secret formula" for creating the EXACT paint that I use. 

- STEP-BY-STEP instructions to creating your own letterbrush clips, you CANNOT buy anywhere else. 

- I'll guide you through the fundamental training and techniques. 

- I'll show you how to create some basic mini-names and full-size names for yourself and family members.

What to expect?

This is a beginner level course, it doesn't go too much into the advance stuff. I will only teach really basic strokes, and a couple of basic fairytale princesses.

BUT - you can expect this course to very very very hard. My last student was pretty surprised by how hard this actually is. 

Do expect to pay around $100 for art supplies. Expect the supply gather process and shipping to take around 2-3 weeks. 

Are you sure this is right for me?

If you think this course is going to be easy - it's not right for you. This technique is very difficult to master. It has a steep learning curve. Be prepared for hours of hard work. When I was training at Disneyland, we practiced 8 hours a day, 3-4 days a week for 2-3 weeks before we were somewhat decent. Still - there was MONTHS of practice before you got really good.  

However, if you have a decent work ethic, always wanted to learn this, maybe you can give this a shot. 

BUT - name painting also isn't cheap. Just buying the materials on the list will probably set you back $100. You will need to buy a bunch of special materials online from lots of different stores. You need to buy EXACTLY the type of paint I tell you to buy - the EXACT brand - or else your paint will not be fit to do name painting. 

HOWEVER - in you do work very hard - you can succeed and make a LOT of money. Right now, I'm one of the only name painters in the USA - who does name paintings for birthday parties - I charge $125/ hour. You can make hundreds of dollars a day selling at regional crafts fairs and stuff. It is even possible to make $1000-$2000 in a weekend selling at convention such as Comic Con/ Anime Expo. It is very much possible to make your money back and THEN a LOT MORE. But results may not be typical for everyone. In addition to hard work, you will need a lot of business acumen to build a business. 

Who are you?

My name is Christopher Chien. I am the creator of www.legendbrush.com - I was originally trained as a name painter at Disneyland. Afterwards, I started my own name painting business selling at farmers markets, crafts fair, ETSY, and eventually worked my way up to giant comic convention like Anime Expo and Wondercon with attendees of 60,000+ people. 

I currently have 100+ 5 star reviews on Etsy for my outstanding artwork and customer service. I have a lot of art teaching experience as well. I have about 7+ years of teaching experience. 

I love my name painting customers, but I'm prepared to go on a new part of my name painting journey. There have been numerous people requesting me to teach them name painting. Honestly, there isn't any resource out there because the artists who do this art form are very secretive. It is very profitable once you master it, they don't want more competition. 

I'm not sure what is going to happen once I start teaching name painting and open Pandora's box - but I hope this helps a lot of people and make a lot of people more happy and more money. Right now "name painting" is a relatively "street" art form - I hope by giving more people access to this style, we can evolve and elevate the art form so it becomes more like a fine art.
